Allison Twigg

I grew up in a home filled with music. My father was a Baptist minister of music and my mother was a public school music teacher and choral director. I believe that scripture shows us that music is one of the most passionate ways one can express their love and praise to God. We are surrounded with a plethora of music in our culture. I feel it is important to fill our lives with music that will glorify God and to teach our children how to be discerning in their music choices. It is a privilege to teach in a Christian school for the first time and be able to freely express my faith through music in the classroom. I have a degree in music education from Samford University, and a Masters in Music from the University of Montevallo. I taught in Alabama and Florida before moving to North Carolina this summer. My husband works for Moses Cone Health Systems and both my daughters are students at Caldwell. I look forward to sharing my love of music with the students at Caldwell as we “Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things!” Psalm 98:1
