Zephaniah 3:17 promises us, “The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” I am in awe of our God’s beautiful words, and my life has been sweetly blessed by His keeping of this promise. God saved me in high school, and He has caused me immense delight (and hopefully, I Him) by providing me a close family which is large in number, laughter, dinners, love, and fealty. Some of that family is here on campus: the Dialectic principal, Dona Hedgecock, is my aunt and her beautiful children, Mollie, Jacob, Abby, and Levi, are my cousins. Furthermore, God has utilized Caldwell as a venue to quiet me with His love. Daily, I am amazed by the compassion, unity, and patience of the staff, parents, and students at Caldwell. God’s love is so evident in and out of the halls of this campus, and it has been a true privilege and pleasure to be allowed to teach here. Also, while I am humbled by the very idea of God rejoicing over me, He has given me much in which I rejoice. Aside from my loved ones, I find joy in books, football, hiking, chocolate, naps, the beach and mountains, travelling, and almost all things England. A final bit of bio about me: I graduated with a BA in Latin having studied at UNC, the Australian Catholic University, and UNCG; I received a Master’s in Teaching from the University of Denver; I have been teaching for eight years, having taught Latin classes, AIG students, and 5th grade.
