Is there any greater joy than witnessing a child gain insight into the true nature of our Creator? As a classroom teacher, I often meditate on these words from Proverbs, “Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.” After years of study obtaining a Bachelor of Arts from Gardner-Webb University and a M.Ed. from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, God so lovingly blessed me with a ministry here at Caldwell Academy in 2009.
Since 2003 I have been married to Prince Charming. We have been blessed with the charge of raising four amazing children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Throughout both of our lives God has used many experiences to raise our awareness of the plight of the orphaned. While feeding street children in Bucharest, or spreading God’s word through the hill tribes of Thailand, He was cultivating in us a heart for the least. After much prayer and meditation on these words from Zephaniah, “The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing,” we made the journey to the Democratic Republic of Congo to bring our youngest two children home to their forever family. What a mighty God we serve!
