Marie Conner

My name is Marie Conner, and my family and I are thrilled to be a part of the Caldwell community. I have been teaching English, literature, and writing since 1998. I am originally from Connecticut, but I came to North Carolina in 1994 to study at Guilford College. I graduated summa cum laude in 1998 with a degree in psychology and English, and again in May of 2003 with a Master’s degree in Educational Research Methodology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. While there, I published and presented a paper on teenage smoking cessation programs at the American Evaluation Association annual conference, which has led to sporadic volunteer work in that area. I also work as a freelance writer and editor. My husband, Bud, works in Greensboro, and we have two young children, Faith and Grant. We attend Triad Bible Church in Kernersville, where I serve in the children’s ministry. I love to read, exercise, do anything outdoors, and watch sports, especially football (I am a huge Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan!). I am blessed to be here, and I look forward to growing and learning here at Caldwell.
