Robert Faub

I am blessed to be a member of the Caldwell Academy community and to serve as the Director of Bands. In addition to leading 5 bands (grades 4 – 12) and a jazz ensemble, I teach music theory and Aesthetics. In the past I have taught History of American Music, History of Western Music, Music Appreciation and Jazz History. My wife Paula and I have been married since 2002 and have two daughters, Hannah and Eleanor. I have taught music for approximately 25 years, as a faculty member at SUNY Potsdam, Radford University, Guilford College, UNC Chapel Hill and UNC Greensboro. I am currently an adjunct instructor in saxophone, music theory/history and music appreciation at High Point University. I also perform professionally as a freelance classical and jazz artist and as a chamber musician with the widely acclaimed Red Clay Saxophone Quartet. It is a joy and privilege to share my passion for music with Caldwell’s students, and to help bring students into a greater awareness of God’s beauty and His creative power as they discover their own creative gifts in music.
