Thelma Grassi

I have loved working with children as long as I can remember! One of my earliest memories in elementary school was of my music teacher and the impact he made on my life.

I believe music and art is a vital part of education for every young child. It is healing, builds confidence and concentration, and allows children to express thoughts in many different ways. Whether it is through instruments, singing, movement, these are all expressions of worship. Psalm 98:8 says, “Let the rivers clap their hands let the mountains sing together for joy.” One of my greatest joys is to make an impact on children through music.

2012 marks my second year at Caldwell as the Grammar Music teacher. I received my degree in music from San Diego Christian College. I have taught elementary children for 19 years. Our family moved to Greensboro in 2009 from San Francisco, California. My husband, Dan Grassi, is the Pastor of Worship Ministries at Westover Church. We have 2 daughters, Madeline and Ruth -both attend here at Caldwell.
