Michele Mallard

Originally from Norfolk, Virginia, I attended the College of William and Mary and earned a double major in Government and Religion. The LORD allowed me the privilege of going on Staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at UNC-Chapel Hill in 1985. It was while on staff that I met and married my husband, David, in 1988. We continued to work on staff together at UNC-Greensboro and Elon College (now Elon University.) Four years and a baby (Joseph) later, we moved to Denver, Colorado for David to pursue a Master of Divinity at Denver Seminary. Upon completion of his degree (and my vicarious degree) we moved back to Greensboro in 1992 (second baby, Daniel, in tow.) David was a Pastor at Grace Community Church for twelve years. Our daughter, Esther, was born in 1997. David was diagnosed with a glioblastoma, a grade 4 brain tumor in 2003. Our lives took a dramatic turn; but through it all, I can honestly say we have seen not only the faithfulness, but also the goodness of the LORD. I began to teach at a school in High Point and went back to school myself to become certified. The Lord opened the door for me to come to Caldwell in 2010. I am grateful for His provision of the job, but also the provision of becoming part of the Caldwell family.
