Piper Anderson

I began teaching at Caldwell Academy in the fall of 1999. My husband and I have two sons who are Caldwell graduates—2003 and 2005. I graduated from The University of Iowa in 1980 with a BS degree in Recreation Education and completed my graduate studies at Memphis State University (now University of Memphis) in 1982, where I received a MS degree in Individual Studies (with an emphasis in Commercial/Industrial Fitness). Prior to coming to Caldwell Academy as a physical education specialist, I worked with the cardiac rehab program in Memphis and as a program director for a branch of the Memphis YMCA. I have also taught several different kinds of exercise classes and performed fitness assessments. My greatest joy in teaching at Caldwell is seeing the students having fun through movement. I strongly believe that participation in physical activity helps promote overall health and well being.
