My wife Mary and I have been involved with Caldwell since it’s inception in 1995, when our oldest son Braxton entered the first Kindergarten class. Now a Caldwell graduate, Braxton is a senior at the University of South Carolina, and we can say with confidence that he is a lifelong learner and was well-prepared for higher education pursuits. We also have a Caldwell senior, Alex, and a 9th grade daughter, Grace. Our fourth daughter, Ginna, who has Down Syndrome, is a seventh grader at Kernodle Middle. We knew several of the people who birthed the vision for Caldwell and wanted to come alongside in the effort to build a quality institution that would stress academic excellence but also be steeped in Christ. We have since come to appreciate the wisdom of the classical model of education, and how it instills in our children a love of learning. I am a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) by profession and am Treasurer of Gate City Vineyard Christian Fellowship. Luke 6:40 states “… but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher”. I cannot imagine a better place for my children to spend the majority of their time each day than Caldwell Academy under the authority of godly teachers and staff who love Jesus Christ and model Him to my children!
