Choir
Caldwell’s upper school choral program is available to students in grades 6-12. Each year our choirs enjoy a number of performance opportunities, including special assemblies on campus as well as off-campus festivals and concerts.
The choirs in the Dialectic school are divided into Sixth Grade Choir and 7th and 8th Grade Choir. Occasionally these choirs are combined into one group for certain activities.
There are two choir electives offered at the Rhetoric level. Concert Choir is open to any 9th-12th grade student. No audition is required. Caldwell Singers is an auditioned ensemble of 12-20 singers who represent Caldwell in the community. This group sings for private and civic organizations around the city, as well as area retirement and nursing homes. The choir was selected to perform in the National Youth Choir at Carnegie Hall.
Students in both the Dialectic and Rhetoric choral ensembles learn to sight-read, use proper ensemble singing techniques and provide occasional solo singing opportunities. Each group is involved in the ACSI Music Festival.
